As parents of three young kids, we created BuddyButton to fill a critical need for families with children who aren't yet old enough to use a phone in an emergency.

Our journey to develop BuddyButton started with a simple question: "How long would it take for someone to check on our kids if something happened to us in the middle of the night?" The honest answer was we didn't know. So after countless late nights, car ride brainstorms, and family meals where we talked about how we could provide parents with a simple, reliable way to keep their kids safe, BuddyButton was born.

Simply put, it's a safety app that connects children with their pre-selected "Buddies" - trusted friends and family members - who can be alerted instantly in case of emergency. As parents, you can rest assured knowing your little ones can quickly reach a circle of safety, even when they're unable to use a phone.

The app lets you set up a list of four trusted Buddies, who will be notified via text if a child presses the emergency button. We've also included an optional Daily Check-in feature for parents to regularly ensure everyone is safe.

We've combined our experience in software development and customer experience, to build a solution that makes safety a little bit easier for families.
